²⁸ “Did we not give you strict orders not to teach in this name? Yet, despite that, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you appear determined to hold us responsible for that man’s death.”

²⁹ Peter and the other apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men. ³⁰ The God of our ancestors raised up Jesus after you had put him to death by hanging him on a tree.
